Structural Health Assessment and Monitoring
Concrete structures, whether new or existing, under distress due to inadequate durability, structural failure or environmental conditions require thorough inspection and assessment of prevailing conditions to determine the root causes and extent of the deterioration process.
Deterioration process of concrete structures could be due to the chemical attacks to the structures such as corrosion of steel reinforcement (due to ingress of chloride or carbonation) or sulfate attacks or any other physical attacks such as fire damage.
For both new and old structures, the competent engineers from Concrete Dynamics International provide services to carry out these in-depth condition assessments of concrete structures.
The assessment determines the type of the deterioration process, factors involved, residual life of structures and type of repair methods to eliminate or slow down the deterioration process and to enhance the service lives of structures. The assessment would also be able to determine the remaining residual life of structures before and after the repair.
The assessment works include visual inspections, non-destructive and destructive tests, specimen collection and onsite and laboratory tests.
